Ruta Verde Cultural de Rioja Alavesa

Este recorrido nace con el deseo de mostrar el bello paisaje de Rioja Alavesa: desde la imponente Sierra de Cantabria-Toloño hasta el gran río Ebro, arroyos y torrenteras que marcan valles con vegetación de ribera, campos de cereal, bosques autóctonos, olivares, viñedos o arboles frutales se combinan con hermosos núcleos de población.

Este escenario alberga asimismo innumerables muestras de arquitectura tradicional y patrimonio histórico arquitectónico (dólmenes, chozos-guardaviñas, puentes, fuentes, lavaderos, corrales, tejeras, regaderas, caminos históricos, rollos-picotas, molinos…) que reflejan, en definitiva, la extensa y rica relación entre ser humano y medio ambiente.

Arabako Errioxako Ibilbide Berde Kulturala

Ibilbide honek Arabako Errioxako paisaia ederra erakustea du xede: hasi Kantabria-Toloñoko Mendilerrotik eta Ebro ibairaino, erriberako landaretzadun bailarak zedarritzen dituzten Errekak eta uharrak, zereal-soroak, baso autoktonoak, olibadiak, mahastiak eta fruitu-arbolak ingurune ederrekin uztartzen dira.

Paisaia hori oso aberatsa da arkitektura tradizionalaren eta ondare historiko eta arkitektonikoaren aldetik ere (trikuharriak, harrizko etxola tipikoak, zubiak, iturriak, ikuztegiak, eskortak, teileriak, ubideak, bide historikoak, beloritak edo pikotak, errotak…), gizakiaren eta ingurumenaren arteko harreman oparoaren erakusgarri.

Cultural Green Route of Rioja Alavesa

This journey was conceived with the aim of showing off the stunning landscape of Rioja Alavesa: from the imposing Sierra de Cantabria-Toloño mountains to the mighty River Ebro, streams and ravines which cut through valleys with riverside vegetation, grain fields, native woodlands, olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees combine with pre‘y towns.

This picture likewise embraces countless examples of traditional architecture as well as historical and architectural  heritage (dolmens, huts – vineyard guard huts, bridges, drinking fountains, wash  houses, sheepfolds, tile kilns, irrigation channels, historical trails, legal and administrative columns, mills… ) which reflect, all told, the rich and extensive relationship between humans and their environment.
